Bungah Collections was inspired by the centuries old cloth making techniques of Batik. Batik is the rich heritage of Indonesian textile weaving and dyeing. Batik is handmade, with no assistance from modern technology. It's not just about the cloth making industry but it's an art. Bungah tried to develop the value of Batik through the use of some different fabrics. The work starts from search to find some convenience fabrics, batik making circles and selecting contemporary fabrics that could combine with the antique textile pieces of Batik.
